Message from Founder / CEO Raj Gopalan MD., MSIS

Raj Gopalan is a senior physician executive with formal training and degree in medical informatics. He has 30+ years of experience that spans clinical medicine and health information technology.

He has successfully designed, developed and implemented an EMR that was judged among the top systems at the Computerworld Award Ceremony at Washington DC; this EMR was later acquired by Siemens Healthcare. As a CMIO at a large multi-hospital integrated delivery system his team was responsible for bringing up CPOE in 30 hospitals in 3 years, with 80% adoption from day one. All of these hospitals are at HIMSS Level 7. He was the head of innovation at a large global clinical decision support company, where he has innovated AI/ML driven point of care clinical decision support tools that have earned him global innovation awards. 

He has presented in a number of national and international conferences. He is very passionate about healthcare analytics , artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML). He believes that AI/ML will play a major role not only in determining the strategic directions, but also the daily operations of the health systems to deliver the highest quality of care with optimal efficiency at a minimum cost. In fact AI/ML tools are a boon to healthcare to thrive in a value based care environment.
 

Raj Gopalan feels that computer intelligence won't replace healthcare professionals in the near future.  But organizations and professionals that don't use AI/ML tools for deduction, diagnosis, treatment and operations will be replaced by those that use them. He has demonstrated that computer intelligence assisted healthcare organization, are able to promote health and prevent diseases. They have better performance in terms of efficiency, quality, and cost. They are able to negotiate a better contracts with the payers.
