We have developed an interactive heat map to track outbreaks of common communicable diseases across India, powered by weekly data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The tool highlights affected states and districts, enabling stakeholders to trace potential causes, implement preventive measures, and monitor progress over time.
A notable trend is the sharp decline in reported outbreaks in 2020 compared to 2019, likely influenced by COVID-19 mitigation measures such as lockdowns, masking, hand hygiene, and social distancing.
The map is fully interactive—users can click on any location for detailed insights or apply filters to explore specific diseases or regions in greater depth.
We developed a predictive model to assess infection and fatality risk from COVID-19, based on age, gender, ethnicity, and pre-existing conditions. The model is powered by integrated datasets from the CDC, WHO, NIH, and the American associations of chronic diseases.
By identifying the most vulnerable populations, the model enables targeted protective measures—such as home isolation to reduce exposure risk—and early clinical monitoring. Individuals flagged as high-risk can be closely observed for initial symptoms (fever, sore throat, breathlessness) and prioritized for immediate hospital care, thereby reducing the likelihood of severe complications and mortality.
We developed a publicly available informational tool titled “Clinical Management of COVID-19 as per WHO Guidelines” to support qualified medical professionals worldwide during the COVID-19 public health emergency. The tool is grounded in published medical literature from the WHO, CDC, and expert consensus, incorporating the most up-to-date evidence as knowledge about COVID-19 evolved.
Importantly, this resource was designed to guide and inform clinical decision-making—not to replace or overrule the judgment of trained medical professionals.
