We have developed a heat map for the outbreak of common communicable diseases in India. This is driven by the data provided by Indian ministry of health and family welfare. This helps to identify the states and districts affected, so that causes for these outbreaks can be tracked and preventive measures can be put in place. Thus the progress can be tracked over time. This is updated every week.
A notable feature is the drastic reduction in the outbreaks in 2020 compared to 2019. This could be attributed to Covid-19 measures like lockdown, use of face masks, hand washing and social distancing.
This is an interactive map. Click on any point in the graphics to drill down or use the filter on the side to focus deeper on any particular disease or region
We developed this model showing risk for infection and fatality based on the age, gender, ethnicity, and pre-existing conditions. This model is driven from data gathered and integrated from CDC, WHO, NIH and other American Association of chronic diseases. This helps to identify the most vulnerable population, so that they can be isolated in their homes to prevent infection. If infected they can be watched for initial symptoms of fever, soar throat and breathlessness and immediately rushed to the hospital to prevent further complications and death.
We have developed an informational tool, "Clinical Management of COVID-19 as per WHO Guidelines" and made it available publicly, for use by qualified medical professional in the context of a public health emergency related to COVID-19 across the world. It is based on pertinent published medical literature from WHO and CDC and/or expert consensus, which continues to evolve relative to COVID-19. This tool was not a substitute, or meant to overrule a qualified medical professional’s judgment.
